About
At K9 Mold Guide, we are passionate about providing the best mold detection services through the use of our specially trained K9, Jessie. Jessie has undergone a rigorous 3-month, 1000-hour training and certification program with Bill Whitsine, Canine Master Trainer. This is the same type of program used for ATF arson, bomb, and drug dogs. We pride ourselves on the precision and accuracy of Jessie's abilities to detect mold in your home or business, because we know that finding hidden mold is important to the health of your home and family. Our handlers and Jessie work every day to make sure they are on top of their game and provide outstanding service to our customers.

Why choose a Mold Dog?There are many reasons why you would choose a mold dog to determine if and where mold is in your home. Mold Dogs are Efficient: Results are immediate and accurate, reducing expensive testing costs searching for mold and verifying remediation that has already taken place. Dogs are Proven and Trusted: Dogs have been used for years by police and military to search for drugs and bombs. Dogs are Honest: Mold dogs work for food and attention, not for profit, our fee is not based on whether or not Jessie finds mold in your home. Peace of Mind: Dogs can detect mold that visual and instrumental tests cannot. After Jessie searches your home you will have the most accurate understanding if there is mold in your home and, if there is, where the mold is located.

How was Jessie trained?Jessie was trained by Bill Whitstine, Master Canine Trainer and the creator of Mold Dogs, over a three month period and for over a thousand hours. Bill Whitstine pioneered training dogs to detect arson, termites, bedbugs, and mold. Training follows the same standards and methods used to train ATF arson, bomb, and drug dogs. Dogs trained by Bill also protect the artwork at the Louvre Museum in Paris from rodent damage! Every day Jessie continues training with her handler, Taylor, with quarterly recertifications peformed by Bill.

How does this work? There are three steps when Jessie visits your home: We will perform a visual inspection and walk through to learn the layout the house internally and externally. We also use this time to collect any known history about the home to understand any potential problem areas. After an initial walk through, Jessie will start her search. We will search your entire home and mark where Jessie finds mold. We will also search your vehicle and RV if present on your property at the time of inspection. Jessie, The Texas Mold Dog knows how to detect 18 different types of mold. The final step is to go over what Jessie found and discuss what can be done. We encourage you to watch the entire process start to finish.
